In Oregon, the beaches belong to the people. As part of Oregon's tradition of environmental stewardship, the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition serves as the guardian of the public interest for our coastal region. Oregon Shores is dedicated to preserving the natural communities, ecosystems and landscapes of the Oregon coast while conserving the public's access.  Oregon Shores pursues these ends through education, advocacy, and engaging citizens to keep watch over and defend the Oregon coast.

Stern portion of the chip freighter New Carissa, stranded 2/4/1999 on North Spit near Coos Bay, and finally removed Autumn 2008.
Thanks For Supporting Oregon Shores!

Your membership will keep Oregon Shores at work preserving the best of our coastal region. Among other things, you'll be supporting our Ocean Program, which campaigns to protect marine habitats and create marine reserves; the Land Use Program, which assists members and citizens from Astoria to Brookings in seeking to apply our land use and water quality laws to defend coastal landscapes; and CoastWatch, which mobilizes more than 1,300 volunteers to stand guard over our shoreline.

You will also be supporting our efforts to reach out to future coastal activists. We are connecting with community college students and other young people through our "Next Generation Team," seeking to mentor them in conservation work even as they mentor us on methods for engaging the next generation of coastal defenders.

Membership Level:  Individual ($25)  Household ($40)  Supporting ($60)
