MILE 198 on 2/8/09   -   BAHNGARTEN LOCATION Lincoln  •  Beachside State Park to Reynolds Creek CONDITIONS Sunday 8:00 AM  •  Cloudy  •  43° F  •  Wind: Calm/Light from the NW  •  Tide: 8 ft HUMANS People: 1  •  Dogs: 1 ACTIVITIES Walking/running: 1 CONCERNS DISTURBANCES VEHICLES ACTIV.COMMENTS NOTABLE WILDLIFE DEAD BIRDS STRANDED FISH & INVERTS Unusual concentration Large numbers of jellyfish 4-6", slightly brownish. Some small razor clam shells, 2-3" DRIFTLINE Wood pieces  •  Plastic pellets  •  Styrofoam NEW DEVELOPMENT MODIFICATIONS NATURAL CHANGES COMMENTS SUMMARY Large amounts of driftwood near high tide line. Most were larger trees with some roots attached and appeared to have been in the ocean for some time. Large amounts of 4-6" brownish jellyfish all along beach mile. Small amounts 2-3" razor clam shells present. Small amount of plastic, fishlines, plastic bottles and caps removed from beach along high tide line.
