ACTIV.COMMENTSBeachside State Park is still closed for winter, so no cars. We did see evidence that someone had been clam digging earlier in the morning.
NOTABLE WILDLIFEWe observed a group of about 150 Sanderlings at waterline just north of Beaver Creek.

STRANDEDTotal: 1  •  One dead California Sea Lion on the beach at high driftline just south of Beachside State Park.

Human based debris was actually light. There was quite a bit of small wood debris, twigs,etc.

Some slight slippage of vegetated foredune south of the park. There was evidence of wave overtopping on private land and most of the park for the whole mile...some torn vegetation. We also noticed greater numbers of big logs beached high up against
COMMENTSNo actions taken...the changes appear to be from recent high surf.
