ACTIV.COMMENTSBeachside state park/campground closed for season. One runner on the beach.
NOTABLE WILDLIFE few gulls fling southward. Moderate amounts razor clam shells. 1 adult C. Murre 80' above tide line, resting on beach.Easily secured, breast fat present, no injuries noted. bird protested vocally and tried to bite. Returned past 1st row of breakers, not visible on return.

COMMENTS
SUMMARYNoted 1 resting adult common murre 80' above low tide line. Approached and gently picked up bird. No injuries noted, breast fat present, bird vocally protested and tried briefly to bite. Returned past first row of breakers, and did not see the bird 1 hour later on return. 3 C. Murre carcasses at high tide line, not fresh. Mod. amounts of larger razor clam shells on beach. some eel grass strands and wads on S. half of beach mile in high tide line. Removed about 5 lbs of ocean debris- fishing line, plastic, plastic bags.
