COMMENTSThe beach was unremarkable except that it was well used by ATV folks based on count and previous tracks. Much of the beach area has smoothed out between low tide and the sea wall. Some abrupt drop-off areas were still evident.
SUMMARYA beautiful sunny day at the beach with tolerable wind velocity. Lots of ATV folks were using the area, including several families with multiple vehicles and young children. No signs of concern were evident. The gulls present were occasionally flushed as ATVs passed by, but they resettled immediately. Shells, animal casings and a few dead mole crabs in driftline. Beach was level with some abrupt dropoffs. One dead dark phase Northern Fulmar. Moderate human impact (23)-2 walking, 5 sitting and the remainder in cars/trucks and ATV's in allowed area.
