SUMMARYBeautiful day, tide coming in, with many people walking the beach. Despite the high number of dogs, for the first time it seems like all the owners were picking up! Again, so much plastic. I picked up a garbage bag full of large bits: bottles, bottle caps, line, tubing, sandals, sieves, parts of buckets, oval foam fish floats (blue and cream, about 7x4x1") and glass bottles. Again, the beach was strewn with millions of bits of plastic. A tourist remarked: "It's just getting worse, isn't it?" Another had picked up two very large, blue containers, one a rectangular box looking like a gas can. And so I thought: If we, as a society, can dispense "doggie bags" at beach entry points, why not have a dispenser with Solve bags for picking up trash?
