COMMENTS
SUMMARYFabulous day at the tidepools at Road's End. Found several nudibranchs: an alabaster, a leopard, a red gilled, and five opalescent. Two of the opalescents were curled up in the seaweed at the edge of the pool, all the others were actively feeding. Sand is low exposing alot of rocks and pools. Some agates, and agate hunters. First time I've ever seen an oystercatcher working the beach much less within 100 feet of a human. Guillimots were pretty active on the nearshore rocky outcroppings in the first cove. Found a huge round bumper, white with the letter B on the sides (2) and a five or six digit letter/number code across the top. Left it at the north access for someone who loves having beach flotsam in their yard. Some false seapalm on the beach along with lots of plastic pieces (again!)
